### Gotchas

- Returns `string | DocumentFragment` - use `returnString: false` option and cast to `DocumentFragment` for DOM manipulation.
- Event handlers (onclick, onerror, etc.) are ALWAYS removed regardless of configuration - this cannot be overridden.
- Dangerous protocols (javascript:, data:, vbscript:) are ALWAYS blocked - this cannot be overridden.
- By default, data-*, class, id, and style attributes are DENIED - explicitly enable with `allowDataAttributes`, `allowClassAttribute`, `allowIdAttribute`, `allowStyleAttribute`.
- ARIA attributes (aria-*) are allowed by default for accessibility.
